🚨 BREAKING: WRIGLEY GOES WILD as the Cubs steal a dramatic walk-off victory after a costly Giants outfield mistake. One misplay, one unforgettable finish, and Chicago turns late-game chaos into pure celebration… 👇👇👇

The Chicago Cubs were able to temporarily pause their recent struggles as they scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning to gain a 3-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants. First baseman Michael Busch singled to right field with speedy Dansby Swanson on second base. When Giants right fielder Victor Bericoto misplayed the ball, Swanson was able to cruise around third base and score the winning run easily.

Cubs clinch walk-off win after Giants' outfield blunder

The Cubs were in a position to take the game into extra innings thanks to the heroics of Pete Crow-Armstong. The speedy centerfielder had his best game of the season as he had four hits in five at bats, including two home runs.

After Rafael Devers homered in the top of the sixth inning to give the Giants a 1-0 lead, Crow-Armstrong matched that blast with a long ball to deep right field. The Giants were able to regain the lead in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Matt Chapman, and that appeared to be enough to give San Francsico back-to-back wins in the series because Keaton Winn retired the first two Cubs hitters in the bottom of the ninth.

However, Crow-Armstrong blasted his second home run of the game on the first pitch he saw from Winn, sending the game to extra innings.

Crow-Armstrong’s performance on a Saturday afternoon in the bright sunshine at Wrigley Field brought back memories of the famous Ryne Sandberg Game in 1984. In that game, Sandberg hit two game-tying home runs for the Cubs on a nationally televised Saturday afternoon game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
