BAD NEWS! Tottenham Make Bold Decision on Star Player’s White Hart Lane Future as Club Insider Confirms Spurs Are Ready to Cash In ASAP, with Madrid in Contact Amid Roberto De Zerbi’s Involvement in the Decision

Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of parting ways with Pedro Porro this summer despite growing interest from Real Madrid, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Reports emerged on Monday suggesting that the Spanish giants are exploring a move for the Tottenham full-back as they look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season. With Dani Carvajal no longer at the Santiago Bernabéu and new manager José Mourinho eager to add competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Madrid have identified several right-back targets.

Porro is understood to be among the names under consideration, alongside Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries and Sporting CP defender Ivan Fresneda.

Romano initially revealed on X that Real Madrid are actively assessing the right-back market, writing:

“Real Madrid plan to sign a right-back this summer with Denzel Dumfries and Pedro Porro among options being considered. Ivan Fresneda has also been scouted recently.”

However, the latest update suggests Tottenham are determined to keep hold of the Spain international.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano explained that while Real Madrid admire Porro, Spurs have no desire to negotiate his departure. The club reportedly views the 26-year-old as a key figure in Roberto De Zerbi’s plans and an essential part of the squad moving forward.

“Pedro Porro is one of the players appreciated by Real Madrid,” Romano said. “But my understanding is that Tottenham don’t want to sell the player. Tottenham want Pedro Porro to stay.”

He added that De Zerbi sees the defender as one of the cornerstones of his project as he looks to rebuild and push the club forward in the coming seasons.

As things stand, Tottenham are effectively shutting the door on any potential move for Porro, making it clear that he remains a crucial part of their long-term plans.

Since joining Spurs in 2023, Porro has established himself as one of the club’s most influential players, making 152 appearances across all competitions. During that time, he has contributed 13 goals and 26 assists while becoming a regular fixture in the starting lineup.

The Spanish defender remains under contract in North London until 2028 and enjoyed another productive campaign in 2025/26, registering two goals and six assists in 47 appearances. With Tottenham determined to build around key performers under De Zerbi, Porro’s future appears firmly tied to the club despite interest from the Spanish capital.
