🚨 GIANTS SHUT THE DOOR — Logan Webb Is NOT Getting Traded Before Deadline… Here’s Why San Francisco Is Holding Firm!

The San Francisco Giants’ difficult start to the 2026 MLB season has led many to wonder if they will sell ahead of the trade deadline. If the Giants do sell, would they consider trading stars such as Logan Webb, Willy Adames, Rafael Devers and Matt Chapman? It was already reported that Devers, Adames and Chapman are unlikely to be moved. Meanwhile, the idea of San Francisco trading their ace in Webb has always seemed rather unrealistic. On Thursday, MLB insider Ken Rosenthal confirmed that Webb is unlikely to be moved, via Foul Territory.

“Webb would obviously bring a lot if he gets healthy again and is effective. He wasn’t so effective early in the season,” Rosenthal said. “But, the Giants, he’s kind of their guy and they want to win at some point in the near future. So, I don’t see that happening either.”

Webb is injured at the moment. As Rosenthal mentioned, Webb did not perform especially well in 2026 before landing on the injured list. Through eight starts, the 29-year-old has pitched to a lackluster 5.06 ERA.

However, Webb has been one of the best pitchers in the sport over the years. The two-time All-Star is the Giants’ ace and if they do indeed plan to win soon, then keeping Webb makes the most sense.

Webb is under contract through 2028 as well. There is no urgency to move on from him. If the Giants are unable to figure things out and struggle next year as well then a trade may become a more realistic option. For now, Webb likely will not be moved unless the Giants decide to surprise the MLB world.
