Juventus Eye Udogie but Ready to Sweeten the Deal With Tempting £30M Swap Offer for Tottenham - Nestdish

Tottenham Hotspur could be handed an unexpected route to signing a long-sought striker, but it may come at the cost of Destiny Udogie. The Italian left-back’s quality has never been in doubt, yet persistent injury problems have prevented him from consistently delivering on his considerable potential since arriving in North London.

Reports suggest Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti is actively pushing Juventus to pursue Udogie this summer, with the Serie A giants keen to use him as a replacement for Andrea Cambiaso. Some sources indicate Juve could initially explore a loan deal with an option to buy, and the Turin club have now allegedly devised a creative proposal to persuade Spurs to sanction the sale.

According to Calciomercato.it, Juventus are prepared to use striker Jonathan David as a bargaining chip to secure Udogie’s signature. The Canadian international endured a modest debut season in Turin — contributing eight goals and five assists from 46 appearances — and is understood to be valued by Juventus at between €30m and €35m (approximately £26m–£30m). The report is particularly notable given that Tottenham were previously in the running for David before Juventus pipped them to his signature last summer.

Adding another intriguing layer to the story is Cambiaso himself, who has also been identified as a target by Spurs. Tottenham are said to have made contact regarding the consistent Italian full-back, though they are expected to face stiff competition from both Inter Milan and AC Milan should they decide to firm up their interest.

The situation presents Tottenham with a genuinely complex set of decisions — one that could simultaneously resolve their striking needs while reshaping their options at left-back.
