CODE RED FOR THE NFL! Chiefs Steal $63 Million Super Bowl WR (1,000 Yards, Super Bowl Berth) to Replace Unreliable Rashee Rice – AFC Just Became Patrick Mahomes’ Personal Nightmare!

Foxborough, MA — Despite the high-profile addition of AJ Brown, the New England Patriots may soon welcome back a familiar face in veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

According to New England sports personality Paul Fitzgerald, fans should not be surprised if Diggs returns to the Patriots roster “very soon.” The report comes just weeks after the team released the 32-year-old playmaker in a cap-saving move, raising immediate questions about his future in New England.

Diggs spent the 2025 season with the Patriots after joining the organization prior to the campaign. He delivered a solid performance, starting all 17 games and recording 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. His contributions helped propel New England to a Super Bowl appearance, showcasing his reliability and chemistry within the Patriots’ offensive system.

However, financial realities prompted the organization to release Diggs earlier this offseason. By waiving the four-time Pro Bowler, the Patriots cleared nearly $17 million in cap space for the 2026 season, providing flexibility as they reshaped their roster.

In a bid to bolster their receiving corps, New England acquired AJ Brown, the 28-year-old former Super Bowl champion, to serve as the team’s clear WR1. Brown brings elite talent and proven big-game pedigree, though questions remain regarding the long-term health of his knee.

Even with Brown’s arrival, the door appears to remain open for Diggs. The veteran, who was recently found not guilty in a battery case, could potentially return at a more team-friendly number. In that scenario, Diggs would slot in comfortably as a seasoned supporting receiver who already knows the playbook and culture in Foxborough.

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

The potential reunion makes strategic sense for both sides. For the Patriots, adding a proven veteran familiar with their system offers depth and insurance without committing massive resources. For Diggs, returning to a contending team where he has already found success could provide stability as he enters the later stages of his career.

While nothing is finalized, Fitzgerald’s insight suggests Patriots fans could see No. 8 back on the field at Gillette Stadium sooner than many expected. As the offseason continues to unfold, all eyes will remain on how New England manages its receiving group and whether Diggs gets another shot to contribute to the franchise’s championship aspirations.
