The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles apparently both wanted to trade for Myles Garrett.

That’s what Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reported on Monday after Garrett was instead traded to the Los Angeles Rams.
The NFC East rivals missed out, and that really leaves just one obvious star option if they want a pass rush upgrade: Maxx Crosby.

Can Cowboys or Eagles trade for Maxx Crosby?
Crosby was clearly on the block earlier this offseason, so the answer here seems to be yes.
The Cowboys were linked at the time, and the Eagles’ interest in Garrett is enough to also speculate on them being a potential Crosby suitor.

The Las Vegas Raiders had agreed to trade Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round picks, but the Ravens eventually pulled out of the deal, citing a failed physical.
That left Crosby in the odd spot of just returning to get ready for a season with the team that had agreed to trade him away.
Crosby has taken it in stride and said the right things, and the Raiders seem ready to proceed as is.
But the same thinking that had Crosby as a logical trade candidate earlier in the offseason still exists. It would just be up to a team bringing a strong offer to the table to make the Raiders think.

The Cowboys and Eagles could certainly both use a player like Crosby — especially if it stops the other one from getting a needed upgrade on the edge.
Crosby rumors might stay quiet for a while, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they started trending again at some point.
