According to multiple internal sources, Kyle McCord attended a gathering at a popular bar in downtown Green Bay with close friends.

Initial reports indicate that McCord slipped near the stair area by the exit, causing a sudden jolt to his neck as he lost his balance.

McCord is a highly promising young quarterback with an outstanding college career. He led the NCAA in passing yards with 4,779 yards in 2024 while playing for Syracuse, finished 10th in Heisman Trophy voting, and was a Manning Award finalist.
That level of talent and productivity is exactly why the Packers signed him to a Reserve/Future contract in January 2026, viewing him as a key developmental piece with starter potential.
However, recurring injuries have made his development path far more uncertain than expected.
