Miami Gardens, FL . May 2026
The Miami Dolphins reportedly made another aggressive round of roster decisions as the organization continues reshaping the team entering the 2026 season.
What initially appeared to be routine offseason depth competition has now quietly evolved into a much larger culture and accountability reset throughout the building.
According to reports circulating around the organization Thursday morning, the Dolphins have officially waived two offensive players following their absence during recent OTA activities.
League insiders believe the decisions reflect the stricter standards currently being established under Miami’s new leadership structure.
The players at the center of the roster moves are offensive lineman Braeden Daniels and tight end Jalin Conyers.

Both players were reportedly absent during key portions of offseason OTA work as Miami’s coaching staff continued evaluating the roster entering training camp.
Internally, several league observers now believe the Dolphins are aggressively emphasizing:
availability
professionalism
communication
daily accountability
throughout the organization this offseason.
Daniels originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft selection before later spending time on Miami’s practice squad during the 2025 season.
However, the veteran lineman never officially appeared in a regular-season game for the Dolphins.
Meanwhile, Conyers originally joined Miami as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft before spending his rookie year on injured reserve.

Despite possessing intriguing athletic upside, the young tight end reportedly struggled gaining momentum within Miami’s increasingly competitive offensive depth chart.
Following the roster departures, the Dolphins quickly moved to add running back Carlos Washington Jr. and offensive tackle Marques Cox.
Both additions reportedly align with Miami’s ongoing push toward adding more developmental depth and competition entering the summer.
League insiders believe the Dolphins are continuing to aggressively evaluate every level of the roster as the franchise attempts to establish a tougher overall culture under the new regime.
At this stage, Miami appears fully committed to making difficult roster decisions regardless of draft status or previous developmental investment.
And as OTAs continue ramping up across the league, the Dolphins are already sending a clear message that availability and accountability will play major roles throughout the organization entering 2026.
