The Buffalo Bills are kicking off their Organized Team Activities (OTAs) with a mix of excitement and curiosity. Head coach Joe Brady expressed satisfaction with the turnout, but one notable absence has caught everyone’s attention: James Cook.<\/p>\n

Cook, who topped the NFL charts with an impressive 1,621 rushing yards last season, was missing in action as the Bills began their voluntary offseason workouts. The reason for his absence remains a mystery, and whether he plans to join the practices later is still up in the air. By skipping these sessions, Cook is set to forfeit a $250,000 workout bonus.<\/p>\n

When a star player like Cook skips OTAs, it often raises eyebrows about contract satisfaction. However, considering Cook inked a four-year, $46 million deal just nine months ago, it seems a bit early for contract discontent. Yet, the NFL’s financial landscape is ever-changing, and with Dolphins running back De\u2019Von Achane recently securing a four-year, $64 million contract, Cook might be reevaluating his own compensation as the league’s leading rusher.<\/p>\n

In Cook’s absence, the spotlight shifted to third-year running back Frank Gore Jr., who took on a significant role during the initial OTA sessions.
