The Texas Rangers secured the series victory Wednesday night with a narrow 5-4 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Texas dropped the opener by one run before responding with a 10-0 blowout Tuesday and winning the rubber match Wednesday, but attention quickly shifted toward Brandon Nimmo after the veteran outfielder exited early.<\/p>\n

Nimmo left the game during the fifth inning shortly after reaching base on a single. Rangers manager Skip Schumaker, along with a team trainer, soon walked onto the field to evaluate the 33-year-old before ultimately taking him out of the lineup. At the time of the injury, the club held a narrow 3-2 lead over the Rockies.<\/p>\n

The Rangers eventually pulled away to grab a convincing win, but the outfielder’s status is immediately one of the organization\u2019s biggest concerns moving forward. Texas did not provide additional details Wednesday night, leaving the severity of the injury uncertain heading into the remainder of the series in Denver.<\/p>\n

MLB.com’s Kennedi Landry shared the update Wednesday night on her X, formerly Twitter, showing the moment Nimmo exited the game during the fifth inning with the following post.<\/p>\n

Hamstring injuries can quickly affect a player\u2019s short-term availability, especially for veteran outfielders who rely heavily on mobility and defensive range. Nimmo has remained an important contributor throughout his first season with Texas, making the situation one the Rangers will closely monitor over the coming days.<\/p>\n

Schumaker did not immediately indicate whether Nimmo would undergo imaging or additional testing following the game. Instead, Texas avoided early speculation by only confirming the right hamstring tightness diagnosis after his exit.<\/p>\n
