Reflecting on his game-winning hit, Duran shared, \u201cI feel amazing right now. I feel blessed.<\/p>\n
This is my first time [walking off] in the big leagues and it was amazing. We\u2019re fighting every single at-bat, every single pitch and making adjustments.\u201d<\/p>\n
As we step into June, Duran is hitting a solid .288\/.341\/.460 with four homers and 31 RBIs. He’s not just filling in for injured players; he\u2019s thriving in his role.<\/p>\n
Manager Schumaker praised Duran\u2019s versatility, noting, \u201cThink about what he\u2019s done, filling in at second, at short, outfield, shortstop. Every position we\u2019ve put him in, either because a guy was struggling or a guy got hurt, he\u2019s given us everything he had that day.<\/p>\n

Duran\u2019s journey to regular playing time in the Majors has been a rollercoaster. In 2023, both he and Smith were tasked with becoming super utility players.<\/p>\n
