Spotrac\u2019s Michael Ginnitti\u00a0is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have restructured a player\u2019s contract ahead of June 1. It was revealed that\u00a0defensive end George Karlaftis\u2019s\u00a0deal was the one that was restructured, converting $9.685 million of his contract into a signing bonus. Karlaftis signed a four-year, $93 million contract extension less than one year ago.<\/p>\n

This is something that the Kansas City Chiefs have not been afraid to do,\u00a0restructuring quarterback Patrick Mahomes\u2019s contract\u00a0on an annual basis to free up some more money.
