And with all of the new players that have been added to the team through free agency and the NFL Draft, some players are starting of in much better standing than others for their potential roles on the team.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div_adsconex_banner_responsive_1\" data-google-query-id=\"\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23156761210\/cafex\/banner_responsive_1_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">One player who finds himself starting the offseason at a disadvantage is former second-round pick Jonathan Mingo, a player the Cowboys acquired in a trade with the Carolina Panthers back in the middle of the 2024 season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">Even with Mingo\u2019s NFL Draft pedigree, he\u2019s failed to make an impression in his first two seasons with the Cowboys, and might be in danger of getting cut before the competition even gets underway this offseason.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div_adsconex_banner_responsive_2\" data-google-query-id=\"\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23156761210\/cafex\/banner_responsive_2_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"scroll-mt-24 my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">Dallas Cowboys WR Jonathan Mingo is facing an uphill roster battle entering 2026 offseason<\/h2>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">The good news for Mingo is that he\u2019s got a leg up on the new players that have been added to the roster this offseason.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">The bad news?\u00a0<em>The fact that the Cowboys have added those players in the first place.<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">It\u2019s not like they\u2019ve made any move on par with trading for George Pickens last offseason, but the Cowboys\u00a0brought in veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling\u00a0this offseason on a modest one-year deal to add some depth, as well as Tyler Johnson.
